Happy 25th Birthday Tavis!!!!

This weekend we celebrated Tavis' 25th birthday it was an entire weekend of celebrating.

On friday it began with Tavis and I going to a birthday dinner at Tucanos. It was my first time going and it was totally worth the price it quality of food, quality of servers, quantity of food. Even with it being worth the price it is really pricey and thus will be reserved to birthdays when there is a free meal involved. haha.

Afterwards we wandered the Shops at Riverwoods, and it was so much fun. We stopped in Blickenstaffs, I had seen it for the first time last November and it was so much fun, it was Tavis' first time and it was one of the highlights of my night. Tavis ran in there and his eyes lit up and he was a kid again. He wanted to play with everything and he was just so excited. We unexpectedly found a box of 60 piece sidewalk chalk, and I was so exicited to get it for Peyton. Now that it is warming up all I wanted was to color with her. :) I can't wait to go back and get more stuff for Tavis and Peyton to play with this summer.

After Blickenstaff's we went to Provo Beach Resort and it was so epic and awesome. We are hoping to make a trip down there sometime. Maybe even has a date or something, If you haven't checked it out, you really should it's epic and awesome.

(I'm sad I didn't get pics from our friday adventure)

Well then Saturday, first we went down to Brandon and Ceason Elder's, Peyton and Hailey colored with sidewalk chalk, Tavis and Brandon shoot some practice targets, and Ceason and I chated. Then Peyton and I came home and napped while Tavis went Air Softing with Brandon and some other friends.

Finally Sunday, The actual day of Tavis' birth and I am so thankful he was born and he is a part of my life. I love him so much. It began with Peyton and I coloring a picture on the sidewalk for Tavis, Then cleaning the house and preparing for dinner and setting up his cards and gifts. Then I started dinner and we went to the park.  This was Peyton's first time at the park where she could actually run around an play on her own and she loved playing on the slide. (once again I hate that I didn't think to take pictures).  After the park we came home finished dinner, Which was a mini thanksgiving dinner. The Elder's came over and Peyton and Hailey were so cute playing together. After dinner Tavis, Brandon, Ceason and I played games. Then we had cake and overall it was a fantastic day, a fantastic weekend. :)

Family Update

So here is our family update since I have been seriously slacking.

In January, I officially graduated from high school and received my diploma, and the even better part of that is I also started College two days before my graduation.
I began attending AmeriTech college, studying to be a Medical Assistant and I'm loving it.

Peyton has really learned comprehensive and her personality is so Big and we love every minute of it. She is just growing and growing and time is slipping by. We love our little diva. We have had quite the round of adventures, She has had ear infections, stomach bugs, etc.., two rounds to the ER, once for eating something she really shouldn't have, and the second was the most terrifying experience of any mothers life. Tavis and I watched Peyton have a feveral seizure, I hope no parents ever have to see that.
She finally seems to be on the mend and just in time for spring/summer.

Tavis has started looking into going to school also, He wants to go to MATC and study IT. He is doing really well and we are really looking forward to summer.

Happy Thanksgiving (pic heavy)

Yesterday we celebrated our first thanksgiving has our own little family. It was very exciting, and an almost near success. Everything timed out perfect, and I never felt overwhelmed it was awesome.

Having never made a turkey before, I decided to make it using our crock pot. It was so easy. I began cooking it at 10 am, (originally thinking it would take 8 hours like the website said) cooked on high for 1 hour. Then I cooked it on low for (well was supposed to be 7 hours) 3 1/2 hours and checked on it and saw the turkey timer had popped. I cut into it and it was done so I turned the crock pot to warm and put the pie in the oven for 70 minutes. Boiled eggs and while they were boiling I washed potatoes. When the eggs were done I peeled them and made deviled eggs, after finishing that I peeled, chopped and began boiling the potatoes. After starting the stuffing, I set the table, Then finished up the potatoes, began the gravy, and started cutting the turkey. As everything was all ready and set, the pie finished so I pulled it out to cool and to finish I grabbed the Martinelli's and deviled eggs from the fridge, (this is where it was an almost near success) While trying to hold the fridge door open and hold the eggs and grab the Martinelli's I dropped the eggs. Only one survived. Otherwise everything went perfect. Peyton loved the turkey and stuffing, and the little bit of Martinelli's we let her have.

After dinner, we cleaned up and bathed Peyton and she passed out quickly, then Tavis and I cuddled on the couch and watched The Green Lantern. It was such a great Thanksgiving. I was very thankful for the time I got to spend with my little family yesterday and I am very thankful for my little family, they are everything to me. <3 <3 <3
